Helping to progress labor

I think I might be in labor and I called my OB. He told me to wait until the pain was closer together before coming in. So I was wondering if this is labor what can I do to help progress it?

You had the post about contractions last night right? Too lazy to look.

Jump on an exercise ball (I did this the 2 days before I had my daughter), Have sex, walk.

walk... it's the best thing you can do. The pressure of the baby's head on your cervix helps bring baby down and dilate you.


that said... make sure you're drinking fluids and eat something since they wont' let you when you get there. And.. take a shower.

The only thing that worked for me was walking, but I have heard sex helps too.

I posted about having pains last night and this morning and not knowing what they were but the ladies here informed me it sounded like labor.

I am eating now and got a big glass of sunny D. I plan on showering when I am done. I will have to try walking.

That's right. I still think you ever if my though counts.   get on an exercise ball and bounce! Lol do some squats too.

If you really wanna speed things up you could take a swig of castor oil

Ha ha thats exactly how I am too. Well I think walking helped me, because my contractions would always come closer and harder when I walked.

Lmao my man is not trying to give it up either said hes scared hes going to break my water....My contractions are 8-10 mins apart and been having contractions for a week now.....Good luck mama

Im overdue and NOTHING has worked for me. Im constantly on my feet cleaning... Doing laundry.. or taking care of the kids.
Last night i had contractions waking me up all night but they were far apart and i fell back asleep after each one. This morning i had a little mucus when i went pee.... But nothing major. Havent had a contraction in about an hour.  
Just wishing baby and body would hurry up!
