Iud crap

I am having really bad cramps. Granted my son is a year old and I have had my iud in for about 11 months but I took neproxin and it hasn't helped. I didn't have this with my first. I am not on my period. Has anyone had these issues with their iud? I am in pain in couch! Ugh...

I had contraction like cramps all night then the next morning went pee...stood up...felt something poking my labia...and it was the string to my iud. The actual iud was already out of my cervix at that point so I just pulled it out.
