Questions about the mod system

posted 20th Oct
I'm under the impression that to become a mod, you have to complete surveys and/or buy offers through the Advanced Features. Am I correct? If yes, how are the biased mods weeded out, or are they not? Also, how is it determined what is considered mod-worthy and what is not?

F you vote with the majority the majority of the time, your vote is worth more. If you vote with the minority a lot, your vote is worth less.

They aren't

anyone can be a mod and I'm pretty sure the only way to have a bad one weeded out is for them to be banned

It's a prettym essed up system. I've been here since 07 and am not a mod, but someone who joins yesterday can be one

I'm not a fan of the way it is set up, but this isn't my website. I'm not a mod, and have no desire to buy my way into that spot. I just follow the rules as best as I can, and that's about it.

Is that how it's always been or is this way fairly new?

oh to answer the second part, it just has to be agreed upon. Totally situational, most of the time.

And if you vote against the majority, your vote is worth less

If you dont vote correctly, or go against the rules of the site you'll be weeded out as a bad mod. You have to keep up with the rules to know how to vote correctly.

But yes, anyone can get mod status by doing surveys or offers.

Ugh, too much work, lol

The mod thing isn't for me. I have enough to deal with, with being the "Mod" in my house, lol let alone trying to Mod a forum.
