Accidents at 5

My DD (she is 5) had an accident at school. She peed herself. It is very few and far between she has an accident. Is it abnormal or bad she had an accident and she is in kindergarten or should I just chalk it up to a one time thing and not worry?

My 5 year old had an accident at his friend's house the other day. It's probably been a year since his last accident.

I just chalked it up to the fact that he was probably too busy playing to remember to pee.

My daughter had an accident at school recently too. She will be six in December. I asked her what happened and she said that the teacher asked her to wait when she could not. She does it with us when we are out in public also. If we don't take her immediately when she says she needs to go then she will have an accident. I would talk to her and see what the situation was and see if it had anything to do with her waiting too long to let someone know. It was probably nothing.

I wouldn't worry about it then. She just waited too long and accidents happen. Just remind her that when she feels the urge to go she needs to let someone know and go or at least try when they have potty breaks in class.

Lily had 2 accidents in kindergarten. She never went to preschool or anything and wasnt used to "We are doing activities, you need to plan to pee" kind of thing. So she was playing and oops... had an accident. It happens, and it's nothing to worry about.
