My 9 month old is biting

what can i do to make him stop?

my 2 yr old has just started biting she tends to do it when she gets frustrated but i just tell her no biting

Last time this was posted 99% of people advocated biting the child back.   I am in the 1% who disagrees with it.

I agree with nickiezz that you need to be consistant with telling her no biting - give her positive reinforcement for "nice touches" - and redirect her to another activity. Or, offer her something to bite instead of you. At 9 months they arent going to get it right away... so you may have to suffer through some bites. But, IMO taking the time to teach your child ways right from wrong through positive reinforcement and redirection is a LOT better than teaching them a double standard by biting them back.

thanks ladies, we've been telling him no and giving him something else to chew on but it just hasnt been working..a little more time and a lot more patients and hopefully he'l stop chewing on us...

when he goes to bite just move his face away and tell him no and it's not nice thats all i do with my daughter
