Do you work or attend school or anything like that? I think you just need some personal time to yourself. Spending every minute with your dd can be frustrating.

I'm working on getting disability for some health issues...I could only do online school, and that would be pointless because I don't know anything I could do from home full-time with reliable pay.

She literally turned one a week ago. And I do try to take time for myself, but I feel guilty for it. I put myself in the situation to be a single mom, and I don't want other people taking the reigns so I can NOT feel like a single mom, you know?

That's right I forgot she just turned one. I was a single mom with my son for the first 4 years of his life, it is hard being a single parent.

Oh no, I didn't get that vibe at all. I just don't know anything else to do. I live in a smallish town, and I don't really have friends. I don't really know how to get a hobby or meet people, as dumb as that makes me sound.

Please take no offense in this! It's not intended to be rude. I was just wondering if maybe she seems needier because you don't provide her with enough physical attention like hugging and kissing and such? I find that days when my son who is about the same age has had a lot of contact and attention from me he is generally better behaved than days where it's busy and we have to run errands. He can't walk yet so he's confined to a stroller and when I have things to do on the other side of the baby gate he just screams the whole time and does a bunch of crazy smurf to get my attention back. It really is infuriating and I'm sure that about 80% of first time mothers enter motherhood saying they'll do everything right and be the best parent ever but it's honestly one of the hardest things. Especially when you're not used to children and their annoying behaviour. I went to playgroup yesterday and the amount of times I wanted to slap this one bratty girl it was ridiculous! But it was all because her mother was occupied with running the group.

I live in a small town (well 7 miles out of town) and i know people but no real friends that i hang out with either. If it wasnt for my older kids to keep me company id get stir crazy.

Not sure how that was rude. I have never heard of a mother feeling this way and not having something else be an issue. She asked for some help/opinions... and I gave mine.
