Wanting to pump breast milk.

I'm way ahead of myself. But did you wait 4 or 6 weeks before giving baby pumped breast milk. I want my baby to have breast milk but I only want to breast fed while I'm home during the day that's 99% of the time. But at night and out and about a bottle.

Is 4 weeks good enough or should I wait the 6 weeks?

I waited 4 weeks

I started the first week. DD never had a problem taking the boob or bottles

Just wait until breastfeeding is well established. I gave mine a bottle at 4 weeks.

started at 4 weeks, but im sure lo would ahve done fine w the bottle, i just didnt want to pump before then and risk screwing up the natural supply.

So I just have to hold out 4 weeks before I can pump.

I pumped from day 1 because my son was tongue tied causing latch problems
