*Sorry, it's kinda long*

So I kicked my soon-to-be ex husband out about 2 months ago but he hasn't really been around DD since June. (I went home for 3 weeks in July and he was in an army training class from July through August, got kicked out 2 days after he graduated). Well, we were dumb and fought in front of her in the heat of the moment. Well, now every time he's seen her (all 3 times  ) in the last month she freaks out when she sees him and latches onto me screaming and crying when he tries to hold her...

Well he came by the house this morning and saw her and she did the same thing but he stood there and talked to her and played with her while she was in my arms and after about 10 minutes I handed her to him (she still didn't want to go) and after I stood there reassuring her for like 5 minutes she let him hold her without crying and actually was happy. Now the problem is he asked if he could take her to the beach by himself. She is still freaked out by him, has hardly seen him in 4 months, she freaks the hell out (I'm talking biting herself until she bleeds and crying and what not) if I leave her in a room with someone and try to do anything even if I'm just trying to pee, and he hardly sees her and when he does it's usually for just a few minutes every 2 weeks.

I told him we needed to start out smaller, like him taking her to the park on base because he has no idea what a handful she is now, especially when she's not with me. He got mad and told me I'm trying to keep her from him but that's not what I'm doing at all. I'm trying to protect Laura and not force her to be with someone she doesn't really remember and links with mommy being angry, but I also feel bad that she almost never sees her Dad (not by my own doing, AT ALL, he took our car and then totaled it so I have no transportation to take her to him). So what would you do if you were me?! DD is just about to be 10 months by the way.

I would let her go with her father...

Maybe he can hang out with both of you for like 1/2 an hour before he takes her to the beach.

I wouldn't let him take her just yet. It might make things worse, if he takes her when she isn't ready and she panics.

She doesn't sound ready to go alone with him I would be there with him until she gets used to him.

Let her go with her dad. All kids go through this at some stage. It will do u n her a world of good to have a few hours apart xxx
