Surgical abortion...

If you've had 1 how did it go for you? How was the post partum part of it?

Not gunna lie... it was pretty traumatizing. And there are still days it makes me sad but post partum wise, I knew it was the right choice and that's what made it ok enough for me to live with.

Horrible. I changed my mind and told them to stop just as they were putting me under but they didn't stop.
I bled heavily for about a week after. Worst experience of my life.

They told me that they're going to numb my cervix and open me up like a pap smear and said it'd take 5-10 minutes.

How far along are you? I think mine was so traumatic because a) I was forced into it and b) I was 15 weeks along.

That sounds about right.

It still gets to me to this day... and the date of the procedure you will never forget...
i had one in 03-10-2010 and exactly 4 months later another on 07-12-2010... I am very strong person when it comes to my emotions but this is a whole different type of emotion when you go through with the procedure.. I am 36 weeks pregnant now and honestly couldnt do it to myself or my body again... its not a form of birth control and i wasnt taking care of myself back then and sure as hell was not ready.. but there isnt a day that goes by that i dont think of what could of been or what my baby would look like today... this little girl inside me now has shifted my whole world.... and to think i contemplated and even drive to the clinic on 03-09-2012 almost exactly 2 years from my first abortion (I broke down and couldnt walk through the doors)... I hope you are going to be able to cope well and best of luck...

Physically, for me, honestly there was nothing to it. IDK whether I just had really good healthcare, or I just heal from pregnancy quite easily (I was up and about within minutes of giving birth to my youngest, had an 87-minute labour was like shelling a pea!) whatever the reason, I had absolutely no discomfort whatsoever after my surgical abortion, and hardly any bleeding. (i was 11 weeks and 1 day) The procedure I can't tell you about because I had general anaesthetic.
The only problems for me from my abortion were all emotional problems. I had no physcial problems at all x
