Bleeding During Pregnancy? A period??

posted 19th Oct
I'm curious to know if it's possible to continue to have your "period" while pregnant or bleed enough to THINK it's a period. I have this question because I've had people tell me they got regular periods for the first couple of months and whatnot, but when I looked it up on the internet, a lot of articles said its impossible. I'm also curious because I've been having a few symptoms for the last couple of months (that never normally happen to me on any occasion) but I've gotten my period. I'm confused. Some insight would be appreciated lol

It wouldn't be a period, but it is possible to bleed during pregnancy.

You can have bleeding, but it isn't a regular period. Your period sheds your uterine lining. If that happens while pregnant you won't be pregnant any more. You can get a subchorionic hemorrhage though which can cause bleeding.

I had period like bleeding with my first, it was almost dead on to when i should have been having a period. My other two pregnancies I bled as well, just not regular. You cannot have an actual period while pregnant.

Yup! My SIL bleed once a month sort of like a period for the first 6 months of her pregnancy.. So when she skipped her "period" in November and took a test she didn't know she was as far along as she was so she thought she was only a 4 weeks when she was really 6 months

I did take a test on October 3rd, which was supposedly like 5 days before it was supposed to come. It was negative. I THOUGHT I may have seen a FAINT line, but I thought it was my eyes playing tricks. I ended up getting my period later on that day, which meant that my cycle regulated back to 28 days. I just find it strange that I've been eating like a man on steroids, I swear I peed like 5 times during work, then another like 10 times when I got home & I didn't even drink anything    ,I was super tired and would have sudden cravings that would bother me if I didn't get them. I mean, who knows if it's a possibility now, but I've BEEN feeling like this (except before my last period, I wasn't peeing up a storm lol)

Your body can mimic a period. Mine did. Its just bleeding not an actual period but it was right on the date I would've gotten my period and the flow was identical. My mom had the same thing for 4 months while pregnant with my brother. Every 28 days she bled as if she was having a period.

Ok, I think the only part that confuses me is why I've been having these strange symptoms, but BFN's? Could it be some subconscious paranoia tricking me into thinking I'm pregnant? IF that makes any sense? lol
