Night Wetting

My 4 year old wears GoodNites to bed. He has never been consistent with staying dry overnight...sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't. Last week, he stayed dry for 5 days in a row (a record), so I let him sleep in underwear. I woke him up in the middle of the night 2 nights in a row, and he stayed dry. The next night, I didn't wake him and he wet a little bit. The night after that, when I went down in the middle of the night, he was already soaked. And today, he said he stayed dry, but when I got the pullup from him while he was getting dressed, I noticed there was warm pee in it (meaning he just peed in the pullup just because....he had been up for 45 min. already so it wasn't pee from sleeping). so I don't know if he actually stayed dry or not. So, it almost seems to me, that when he really wants to try, he can stay dry for the most part. What do you think? Do you think I should just take away the night time pullups? I really thought he was finally night trained, but now I don't know if he is making the decision not to hold it, or if he really can't.

Watching. My son will be 4 Christmas day and he is NEVER dry through the night and still wears a diaper. IMO they hold more and are cheaper.

they are cheaper, and i did use diapers until he was almost 4. But, he will be 5 in february...i'm not going to put him in a diaper.

E still sleeps in Goodnights as well. He is almost always dry in the morning, but it never fails that as soon as I let him sleep in underwear he wets the bed!
