Lol we have been discussing this one too and SIDS is listed as a side effect on the drape vaccine insert.

But also I read studies of sids babies who had autopsies done and had problems with temperature regulation in the body. I have a good link on sids in general. Let me find it.

AAALLLLLL newborns have a problem with body temperature regulation....I WILL say, my son had a problem with that, I also realise most normal children do as well...

Not just newborns die from sids. There have been cases of 16 and 18 month olds dying of sids.

Great links ladies! My SO didn't even know what SIDS was until a few days ago, I had to explain it to him. Poor guy I felt so bad having to tell him   Now he gets why I'm paranoid about checking DDs breathing 10000 times whenever she's sleeping.

My SO knows what it is and he still tells me im overreacting because i check on DD so much.   Im nothing compared to what I used to be with it though. Now that she's 10 months old I kind of feel better, but I still worry.

Yea I have an angel care monitor and I check on her a lot even at 9 months

I've heard bad things about angel care monitors, but I am so hyperviligant when it comes to checking my LO's breathing at night... I have nightmares about losing my LO to SIDS. Is it worth the money to get one of those monitors? And how exactly do they work?

Idk how well they really work but I.use it anyway. I had to raise the sensitivity bc it used to go off a lot if she laid on her side or rolled to the other side of the crib. I take the mobile out of the crib though bc it can detect any movement.

You put it under the mattress and if there is no.movement for 20 seconds it beeps.

It did go off when she was a few days old and I know she did not move off the mat so I will continue to.use it. She is 9 months old now.




My bd thought it was a baby thief monitor bc it went off when he took her out and did.not know to turn it off Lmao
