Getting her shots today.

So, Kylie's 2 month appointment is today, and she's going to get her shots   I already have my baby Tylenol locked and loaded, and I was told to give her a dose about an hour before her shots. Is there anything else that I need to have ready, or be prepared for? I have no idea what to expect. Thanks so much.

prepare for a horrible cry. much different than any you have heard before. i hate that cry and never want to hear it again.

Oh I know I'm just going to die then. I can't stand to hear her cry at all. Her daddy is gonna have two crybabies on his hands after this appointment. LOL.

Oh i had his daddy hold him and i was turned around messing in the diaper bag. i didn't know they were doing it then, i just heard him start his normal cry then a scream and a really bad cry...thinking about it makes me want to cry.

I have only heard him scream like that two other times when i put his feet in the pool, then later that night it was bath time and he screamed like that because he remembered the pool...i felt so horrible.

Yep sososo true. 

Oh god, is that what I have to look forward to on Thursday? Julien is getting his 8 week shots then and I've heard stories about how bad it is. I think the worst part is not being able to explain to him what will happen. Plus he trusts me and it kills me that I'm letting someone hurt him - even though we've all gone through it with no lasting effects...this sucks.

Elijah just got his 2 month shots today. They also did some sort of oral injection of medicine, did anybody else have their baby get this too? Eli cried so hard and high pitched. I felt so bad for him...it took a good 10 minutes to get him to stop. The nurse said one of the shots leaves a stinging sensation which is usually the one that hits the babies the hardest. All the tears rolling down his face, I wish there was something I could have done. But now he's over it and sleeping soundly...no fever or any after effects which is always nice!

Yep, it is the most awful thing! I would rather have another c-section (the pain) and the spinal headaches (pain) all that again then to hear that cry ever again! I know in July she will do it again   (2nd shots) day before my birthday.  

Yes, Emily got the oral stuff too. Now that she didn't mind at all.
