repeat c

posted 19th Oct
So I'm due 6/29. Still debating on vbac or repeat csection. But if I had a repeat, do you think it'd be lame if I scheduled it for 6/27 since that's the 4th anniversary of me and my husband meeting? I'd kind of like to make the day more special than it already is. That is if baby lasts that long Rory came at 39 weeks weighing in at 9.7lbs.

I'm rooting for the vbac

But, I think that'd be cute if you decided on the c-sec

My hospital is very pro vbac so we will see. My doctor is like 74 and been delivering babies for 44 years. I effing love him. Man has wicked style too!

I asked before I agreed to the csection and from what I gathered unless someone requests a repeat they go with vbac by defaults at my hospital.

all for vbacs!!! I guess it'll depend on why you had the first one and if you're a good candidate or not. I like the date for the csec though but still hoping for the vbac lol

I am glad you are going for a vbac but if you have to have a cs and can pick the day I would do it.

That is nice. The hospital I went to is the opposite. I asked my doctor if vbac would be possible and he was hesitant and made me jump through hoops before he agreed to try and let me have a vbac but he told me he would NOT induce me.

Yeah :-D. My Dr hates unneeded medical intervention so I'm sure he will be more open to it too.

Failure to progress due to his position. He had his head stuck in my hip and he was kind of diagonal.

id say that's not a reason not to try for a vbac. you couldn't predict he'd be diagonal and get "stuck". but i've heard that if you fail to progress that can be grounds for a no vbac but it's like you get to the pushing stage and nothing happens.

I had a mmc and my Dr didn't even want to do a D&C until it'd been 5 weeks because he says mother nature knows best and he hates pushing unneeded procedures. I ended up needing it after all because when he rechecked me everything was still growing except the baby.

Wow. Most doctors these days want to jump on doing a D&C.

Nah even when I asked for one he asked if I was sure I didn't want to wait another week. Then he even let me decide if I wanted it in the office or at the hospital.
