My comment was more based on the number of women on here who get their panties in a twist when ever there's someone this young on here.

I was wondering if someone so young would be considered "high risk" since her body is still growing and may not be ready to birth a child.

I'm sure the dr will also consider how long she's had her period and whatnot before immediately deeming her high risk. I knew of an 11yr old who was pregnant, but deemed high risk simply because she hadn't had her period for many years. Idk.

at 14 I don't think you'd have had your period for many years either.

I mean I didn't start till I was 13 but I know kids are starting much sooner now

One of my best friends got pregnant at 13 and delivered at 14...We were inseperable back then. She was on bedrest at the end of the pregnancy because her body was just not physically capable of doing what it needed to do because she was so young, herself. Also because of her age and developing body, she wound up having a c-section...labor was hell on her underdeveloped body, and she wound up really bad off...she was in the hospital for about two weeks after her son was born, and he was in NICU most of that time because of problems related to her age.

Upside? They're both doing fabulously now, he's 8 years old, and she's expecting her 3rd baby...her second healthy little girl.

I wasn't considered high risk when I was 14 and pregnant.

No, at 14, she will automatically be considered high risk. There is a lot of risk involved in a body that is THAT underdeveloped carrying a baby.

No that is not true. In MOST cases a 14 year old CAN have a healthy, problem free pregnacy. Are you just pulling stuff out of your ass? I am sure they don't "automatically" consider a 14 year old highr isk.

A 14 year old is not "THAT" underdevoped.  

That MAIN concern would be if she was EMONTINALLY and MENTALLY able to carry a child. But physically? She will probably be fine.

It's case by case. One of my brother's ex-girlfriend's was 14 when she got pregnant, 15 when she gave birth, and she wasn't considered high risk. She had a c-section, though, because her pelvic inlet was too small to birth a child.

I went to school with a girl who was pregnant and 14. She gave birth complication free.
