first period after mirena insertion (may be tmi)

so not sure if this period is something i should be expecting or if it is not right. what was your first period like?

After I had it inserted five years ago after having my DD, my period was heavier at first for a couple months before easing up to irregular periods where I couldn't even tell WHEN I would have mine to eventually going away, then to coming back. But each time I had mine after they lightened up, it was pretty much a waste of my time and money to even mess with it!

i got my first period and it was a couple days late from when it should have started and i am on day 9 of it and it isnt easing up at all when i had it after my daughter i didnt bleed like this and just not sure if my body should react like this or not i assumed it would be the same as before

Hmm...I'm not sure either. You could alway call and ask your doctor about it. I know I would if it happened to me, but then again, I always worried when it came to my periods. :/

i called my doctor and they are putting me on Motrin for the next 3 days to try to ease the bleeding and if it doesn't stop then i have call back on Monday. i am paranoid about mine also they were always so regular when i was younger

Yeah. I hope you get things worked out soon! I wish I could say the same about mine...mine was so horrid before I was put on the Mirena after my DD. I'm not sure what I want to go with once DS is born...lol
