8 week update!

posted 18th Oct
Uploading pics now

So, yesterday was 8 weeks. And if I could get my husband back (he's working 16+ hour days right now), I'd be able to post this ON the week instead of the day after like I did last week and this week. Should have him back by Sunday though

Anyway, All my symptoms are the same, but add greasy hair (I usually wash it every 3rd day, now I have to wash it every other day, which makes the ends dry out and break. Gah!). and add pregnancy nosebleeds. FUN! Not! My nose feels like its cracking--oh, wait, it IS. But, I guess that's a good thing since I had it with both boys, so I am thinking its a good sign. Still have sore boobs, slowly expanding waistline (which is only about half bloat by the time you take into account that I didn't have a flat stomach to begin with).

Also think I might be starting to feel a flutter here and there---faintest of faint and only when I squish baby. Got one today when I put the doppler on my tummy and it was RIGHT where I picked up the HB! Baby's beats are perfect in the 140s and baby was just surprised when I poked it with the doppler wand, I think and I felt the flinch. Baby only has tiny tiny limbs, so I know I won't feel much, but I've felt a couple of tiny movements whenever I'm laying on my belly with a full bladder. I've lost 30lbs since my last pregnancy, so that may be why I'm feeling things about 2 weeks faster than last time. Last time I felt Deagan move (while I watched him on ultrasound) at 9 weeks.

As for what's going on here, just hanging out. I was totally convinced I'd start bleeding any time yesterday, but after hearing the HB, I'm feeling more hopeful today. So, we're just hanging in there and going a day at a time.

Time for picture now!

Yes, I am.

Babies start moving as soon as they get limb buds. Only exceptionally attuned people with LOTS of pregnancy experience who are fairly thin have a chance of being able to feel movement that early.

After 8 pregnancies, I have that experience.

And after LOSING 6 pregnancies, I have learned to be able to read EVERY clue my body gives me, good or bad, as to whether baby is okay. I have analyzed gas bubbles, intestinal quivers, stomach movements, abdominal muscle spasms, uterine spasms, pinches, pulls, ligament pains, bowel lumps, bladder fullness, and so much more every single day of my life for 4 years---its now a habit that happens automatically, even when I'm not pregnant (and I'm usually pregnant) after worrying with everything that is in me that I would lose another pregnancy SO many times.

When you are analyzing EVERYTHING to the tiniest detail, you learn to tell the difference quickly, especially when it means the life and death of your child. Especially when feeling that movement can bring you so much peace, even for just a moment or two.

Thanks, love!

I was at a bonfire/firepit thing at my neighbor's house and she kept offering me alcohol and I just said "no thank you"---and one of HER guests (someone I'd never met) looked at her and said "Um, Marley, can't you figure out why she's not drinking?"

And Marley looked at me for a minute and was like "OH. MY. GOD!"

our hubbies came back the same day, so she was like "DID YOU GET PREGNANT HOMECOMING NIGHT?!?" and was yelling loud enough the whole neighborhood could hear, haha.

Ugh. Nosebleeds. That sucks. If it is a good sign for you though, then YAY

Your tummy is so perfectly baby bump shaped! Lol!
