re: new born diapers

My daughter was just under 8lbs. She wore newborn until nearly 5 months.

I had 8lbs 6oz, 6lbs 4oz and 7lbs 13oz.

I heard so. Plus it smells more.

I just had my son on friday and he weighed 10lbs 14oz and they put him straight into a size one... newborn never fit

My kids were 8 lbs, 13 oz and 8 lbs, 7 oz. They were both in newborn diapers for a month.

my DD will be eight months on the 29th and i just bought a box of size fours for when we use the last of these threes lol

My DD wore newborn for 3 months, but she was born 7 pounds 2 ounces

I think it just depends on the baby. My oldest was in newborn diapers for a couple of weeks. My 2nd ds was in preemie diapers for a week or so and then in the newborn diapers for a month+. He didn't have much of a bum. Actually he still doesn't. My 3rd baby went straight to size 1 diapers and he's the one that ended up in the NICU. Very ironic.

IMHO, it's not a big deal if he has to go out and buy another package of newborn diapers if you run out. It stinks to end up with bags of diapers you don't use. I have a huge bag of size 3 diapers which have been sitting in the house for over 3 months now. I'm still trying to get rid of them..sigh.

Depends on the baby. my first was 6lbs 1.4oz and he was in premies and then new borns for gosh at least 5 months(he was a tiny thing) and my daughter was 7lbs 1oz at birth and is now just under 8lbs and is in new born she has super tiny hips/waist and she drowns in 1s. Tell him to relax it's only one package and the newborns don't cost that much anyways.

My first was 8.15 and had to go right to size 1.
My second was 9.2 and was in newborn for 2-3 months!!!

My DD couldn't even fit in the NB diapers. Well, she did for a week. Lol

If you don't use them you can exchange them as long as they're not open. So won't stop buying nb, so I'm sure I will be doing some exchanging for a larger size.
