Would you cloth diaper if you did laundry once a week?

I live in an apartment, and we do have washers to use in the building but they are expensive, so once a week we take our clothes to the Laundromat and use the triple loaders to get it done all at once.

I am really considering cloth diapering this time but I just don't know how possible it would be with only doing laundry once a week.

Does anyone have experience with this?

If you have enough to get by throughout the week. I just don't know how I'd feel having soiled linens chilling for a week kwim?

Would take a LOT of diapers to make it a full week. While you can wash by hand to keep the smell and such down I personally never went past 4days.

That'd take A LOT and I mean A LOT of newborn cloth diapers. And you'd have to have a GOOD pail liner.

That's what I'm unsure of. I can't even stand diapers being in the diaper genie. I also don't know if stains would come out from sitting for a week.

That would take a lot of diapers...and would stink beyond belief. I think 3 days max is what I would go without washing.

It's not looking very practical to cloth diaper in my situation. Lol...

Could you do just a load of diapers at the apartment laundry room once a week between laundromat trips?

Do you know if your laundromat allows cloth diapers (some don't)?

I wouldn't. Letting dirty diapers sit for a week increases bacteria and risks for mold and maggots.

If you were hand washing in between trips to the laundry mat then that would be fine.

You could always cloth half the week. Still save some money and use them the 3/4 days before you go to wash laundry.

I washed by hand when I only did laundry once per week.

If you had enough diapers to last the week, you should be ok. I would definitely thoroughly rinse each in the tub or sink each night though, until you do the laundry. Leaving wet/soiled diapers too long can cause mold. I do my wash every other day, and I wouldn't leave them any longer without rinsing even if I had more diapers.
