pain/numbness?

I have been having this weird pain/numbness on my right hip. It feels exactly like when you wear a pair of jeans way too tight and it gets tingly and numb, but ive made sure not to wear anything tight or constricting. My mother-in-law said the baby could possibly be on a nerve. Its been like this for about a week. it makes it hard to sleep (not that i was expecting a good nights sleep throughout my pregnancy lol) but i just wish it would go away! Has this happened to anyone else? and is there a way to make it better? ive tried sleeping on my other side but its just not comfortable at all   please help, this is driving me crazy!!!
