Ive read a lot of wives tales about predicting the gender and have taken those fun little gender prediction tests online, but i know that its all in fun. 5 out of the 6 tests ive taken have shown to be a girl, im just wondering if any of you have proven these wives tales right or wrong? im finding out the gender Nov. 3rd but this is just out of fun curiosity

was correct for me as well with all my pregnancies! (have five kids)

All the wives tales were backwards for me.

I think it is really easy for them to be right or wrong, because it is 50/50 either way lol. Who knows, maybe some work, and I'm sure others are completely made up. Either way they are still alot of fun to do, so I dont see the harm in doing them.

This.   It's fun just guessing and playing around. Pregnancy can be miserable, might as well have a good time with it!

I've heard of it but how does it work? This is one i haven't really looked into.

the pendulum and needle was wrong for me, as was that chinese gender chart. everything said i was having a boy, and i got a 3rd girl.

Don't just look up how to tell gender, look up basic pendulum divining.

This is how I did it.


Get a needle and thread, or, even better, if you have a ring that you wear all of the time, use that.

Lay on your back with your shirt up. Get someone to help you.

Have hold the thread/string, while resting the ring on your tummy so it doesn't move.

Have them say in a clear voice something like "If this baby is going to be a girl, spin clockwise, please. If it is going to be a boy, spin counter-clockwise please."

Pick it up, and let it spin on it's own.

I forgot the Chinese gender chart. Mine was right for me.

the one about the hair line was right for me. my sons hair line on his neck is straight across and i am having a girl.

the wives tale is that if your child has a straight hairline in the back of the neck it will be a girl, if the hairline comes to a point (duck tail) it will be a boy. it has worked for all of my family so far. we checked at a family gathering LOL!

oh well i dont have any previous children so i dont think that will work for me lol but thats interesting! ill try that when im on my 2nd
