Risks of Pregnancy After D&C?

Does anyone have any links to sites with information about possible risks of getting pregnant soon after a D&C? I am really coming up with nothing myself..

I see the doctor on Friday, so he'll answer my questions, but in the meantime I was hoping I could find some websites with information.

I've been reading about this a lot and I haven't been able to find a clear answer either way. I am probably going to wait until my second period. The first one, after the D&C, I heard is usually pretty strong. The doctor who did my D&C also said to wait until my second period before trying again.

My situation is a little different. My D&C was just to remove residue pieces that were left over from the cytotec not clearing everything out three weeks ago. So my body doesn't have as MUCH to adjust to.

I found a study stating after a procedural the risk of miscarriage or other first trimester problems did not increase, but post partum hermmoraging did increase by .00004%

Did your doctor give you any special instructions?

I was all doped up. He just told my husband no putting things in my vag until I got my check up this week. But that was it.

Before the D&C, my midwife had said just when we felt emotionally ready. But we had thought the cytotec was going to clear everything out at that point, which was 3 weeks prior to the D&C
