Normal?

posted 16th Oct
I had my baby a week ago and while I love him to death and love being a mom, I am a little sad. I am already missing the feeling of giving birth...I keep looking back at the first pictures from when he was born and missing that amazing feeling of actually having him. I am also just feeling kind of depressed that he's already a week old. ):

Is this normal?

I cried at three weeks old when he kind of held his head up for the first time because i felt like that was the first step of him not needing me. But yeah, it sounds like maybe you have the baby blues, sorry mama!

Exactly how I felt the 1st week too. I had her in her swing and the lullabys it played made me realize that she's not gonna be a baby for long. I cried almost everyday lol. She's only 2 1/2 weeks old but it feels like time going by quick already

Baby blues. It happens... and it keeps happening. My first is 16 months and sometimes I pull him out of his crib at night to snuggle him while I cry because he does everything on his own and doesn't want a lot of help.
It all goes by fast... but you find things everyday to make it all worth it. Just take all the moments in. Take pictures and look back on them. And when he starts getting really big (and walking) don't stress to much about feeling sad or crying. I think all moms do it at one point or another. And I think some of us are just a little crazy after having kids. ( I never cried till after Ry... now everything makes me cry cause I realize how fast things go and how much they change.) But it's all good.
