Postpartum sex

So, I'm 2 weeks PP. I didn't have any tears nor was I cut, I had a tiny graze which has healed... I feel fine, and my PP bleeding has stopped.
What is the reason I'm waiting 6 weeks for?   Hubby and I are really wanting to have at each other, and I finally have my sex drive back..

Your cervix is still open can lead to an infection

Infection.

You could also end up pregnant again. You are very fertile right now and with the cervix open, the sperm have less of a barrier holding them back. plus you risk getting an infection.

You could risk infection.

Me and my spouce only waited two weeks, it didn`t effect me but, it wasn`t very pleasurable just painful..

I had a csection... 3 weeks later got a big urge to, taking the chance of infection and reopenning it...I got lucky and it was great sex

Because there is still a gaping wound in your uterus from your placenta detatching and youre suceptible to infection.

Chances are pretty good that the bleeding will start up again. PP bleeding can start and stop randomly for several weeks. At 2 weeks pp, i probably wouldn't recommend sex, but I have had sex before the 6 weeks is up. It was probably closer to the 4-5 week mark though.
