Time to do the hospital tour thing?

I know my boyfriend and I want to go look a the l & d place at the local hospital where little one is gonna be born...but when is a good time to do that? I'm 33 weeks, and not sure when to go in.

I never did. It doesn't look any different until you are having the baby and they raise the bed quite a bit and open up a huge cabinet with all the baby stuff

I did mine on October 3rd. It depends on if you know where you're going at the hospital. I've decided to deliver at Ohio State University Wexnar Medical Center and I had no idea where L&D was at. It's a huge hospital so I made sure to do the tour, just so my husband and I both knew where everything was at.

I've never been there is the whole reason we want to do it...the doctor's office is in a completely different building then where he'll be born. We want to know where we're supposed to go, how we're supposed to explain to family where to go...stuff like that

I did it at 34 wks.
I just moved to this area in July (took the tour late August).
My husband actually used to work at that hospital during his highschool days but it has since been expanded and the L&D wing was brand new so he was no longer familiar w/ it either.
I suggest doing it soon, especially if your unfamiliar with the hospital, where you're supposed to go once in labor, etc.

Hmmm...I might have to talk to my doctor about it on Thursday then...

I was like 20 weeks I think, that was because it was the only day they had for like 3 months that my husband could get off work in time to go.
