my sister..

posted 16th Oct
she's 17.Had an abortion back in Feb, she was basically forced into it
( long story )
well, she would have been 9 month pregnant about to give birth, right now

I know she is somewhat depressed because of that ( she's been smoking a lot of marijuana ) I guess to block it out of her mind.

what is some advice I can give her ? I try & give her advice, but she just looks at me like I had my baby & she couldn't have hers. ( I was 18 when I got pregnant )

I just feel so bad for her..

PLEASE..DO NOT QUOTE.

All you can do is be there for her when she needs you. Maybe have someone else watch your LO while you talk/comfort her.

But in all honesty, if she's anything like I was around my DD, she's not going to want to talk with anyone, and she'll probably be mad and hurt.

I get a little emotional when I get around the time I'd be due/when I aborted.

Take her to build a bear and build a "baby" bear. When she gets sad, she can cuddle it. Even name it after what shed maybe name the baby. Maybe something like that would help?

Me too.

OP, let her know she can talk to you if she needs to.

I wasn't forced and don't regret mine, but there was still a lot of anger and "what if." Got plastered around what would have been my due date.

What helped me was making a list of songs for a CD. Every song that fit my mood from Tori Amos to Pantera. It helped a LOT. Maybe this will help your sister.

Be patient, the first time the EDD comes around is (generally ) the hardest.
