My great-Aunt, Connie.
She was diagnosed back in 2007, right before I went into labor with my daughter, actually.
They did a double mastectomy after trying everything else first...but she no longer has the cancer! This is the only photo I could find on my computer...this is her and her daughter, Cori, at her HS graduation in June of 2011.  

This is my Mamaw, Judy. She was diagnosed back in 2010 - shortly after DS was born. She had a lumpectomy which failed then had a mastectomy to remove her right breast. She hasn`t had any issues with cancer since, but the worry remains. She loves DS beyond words could describe because she knows that he will be the only great-grandchild she will know because my cousins are all under the age of 10. This is my favorite picture of her, because her smile is so genuine. She is my hero and I don`t know what I`d do without her <3

This is my beautiful mother she had cancer & beat it! she had her breast removed she wanted us girls to know what was going on she showed me her removed breast & scare(i think i was in middle school) I dont remeber how i really felt but now as i write this I am so thankful she did that! She had a implant for a new breast she had them i dotn think very long then one day i remember her talking about a hole in her breast she showed me the hole in skin on her breast she went to the doctor or the man that did her boob he pulled her implant out from the hole! i was there not in the room but i felt so bad for my mother. she never got another implant after that! she just ordered the bras with the implant in it. I never knew how bad chemo was for anyone fighting cancer but she told us all she would never have chemo ever again. Years when by I graduated High School in college the new school year for HS starts and both my younger sisters are there. my mom was getting sick again she goes to pick up her inhaler and she jsut falls in front of the doctor they took her to the hospital she was in & out a few times. i missed a lot of classes to stay with her and help her out a month goes by my dad & i help her to the room with her oxgen mechine she couldnt breath her lips were turning blue i was sitting there holding her saying breath mom breath. she finally caught her breath. it was so scary. the next day i had work and my sister Amy (youngest) was at the foot ball game & my dad & sister Brittany were at home with my mom. i left for work and huged my mom kissed her on the head (i had a cold didnt want to get her sick) i was goin out the door i said Love you mom, no responce i said it again louder she snaped out of her stare and said love you hunny. i knew she was all druged up i went to work the whole time thinking about last night, what if she cant breath while im here at work. hrs into work my grandma & brittany are histarical telling me mom cant breath you need to come iwth us i ran told my boss and left we went to the football field to get Amy then to the hospital. the worse day of our lives our mother passed away from breast cancer. so many people were at her funeral i couldnt help but look around at everyone when heading to the grave site. it was the bigest chapel and it was full she touched so many peoples lifes and i am so proud of her she was amazine woman .
