jfc what can I do about this? CPS.

Two years ago my daughter's paternal grandfather called CPS and told them I was living with my 3 year old in an apartment with no electricity and had been for 3 months. They came and talked to us, I showed them my lights were shut off for 3 days and I stayed with my mom until it was reconnected, and that was it.

Last month I got contacted again and they said "someone" said we were living in a filthy apartment with dog and cat smurf everywhere. Again, they came and investigated and it was closed (probably because I don't even have a smurfing dog or cat?)

Well I just checked my voicemail and I have ANOTHER claim against me. I haven't called back yet so I don't know what for, but whatever it is, it's not true. I completely believe it's BD or one of his smurffy family members doing it to get back at me because I won't let him see her since he's a heroin addict who has endangered her life before. I don't think it's a coincidence that the first claim came shortly after he found out my boyfriend and I are expecting, and the second after he found out we had moved in together. I feel he's using CPS to get back at me and I think it's ridiculous that they have to investigate EVERY claim. Do I have any other option but to put up with this smurf? I think it's ridiculous i'm expected to keep taking time off work to keep doing home interviews with them when my child is obviously nit abused or neglected in any way.

I'd talk to a lawyer. It sounds like harrassment.

Sorry you are having to deal with that but IMO its a good thing that they are doing their job. To many times I have heard of children slipping threw the cracks. Can't they come look at your place when you are off work?

When you contact them this time ask them what you need to do to stop the person or persons who are calling and that you feel like they are harassing you. They should give you resources and also request that they take these false calls seriously and find a solution to them before you contact an attorney. I am really not sure what else you can do.

Yea, that's total smurf. I would think eventually they would stop doing investigations...Although I must say I'm impressed with how well CPS is keeping up on their stuff where you live. Over here, they don't do anything. I would talk to them when you meet up with them again. Ask them how many times you're going to have to keep going through with this.

I hate exes!Q Mine did the same crap! Sad thing is they have to keep investigating. Really the only thing you can do is keep talking to them and proving the ex wrong. I would also move and not give him any contact info!

If they were just out they probably won't come back out.

Actually they will not look while the person who was called on is not there. Sadness.

If i were you i would talk to the case worker that comes out next. Ask them to either give u a supervisor number to call or see if maybe they can investigate these false claims against you. If its BD or his family they are harassing u through CPS and using a good service for something NOT good... U see what i mean? CPS has to keep records of all claims called in... Try to get records of that too... Just in case this keeps happening. You might have to find an attorney to help you.

They have to investigate but you can file charges against him.

My sons father did this for so many years. So bad CPS came out with the police one night. I kind flipped on them. Told them you come out here every other week for a phone call of me abusing my son. Do I need to send you pictures of him every week or will I be accused of child porn next?

I mean they came out about 15 times. I was able to tell them I know who called, and sometimes they even "slipped" up and told me.

One thing about CPS is you do not HAVE to let them enter your home and a lot of women do not know that.

The last time they ever bugged me I told them, I have been downtown on this man for false allegations, every time you come out nothing is wrong. From here on out I refuse to let you enter my home, I refuse to anymore drug testing, and I do not authorize you to talk to my son anymore.

He called about 2-3 times after that and each time they came out I never responded back or called back and my case was closed. I haven't dealt with them since.

My first move would be talking to CPS about it and basically telling them what you wrote here. I mean, it is a good thing they're looking into potential cases of abuse, but they should also realize that multiple calls about the same person which turn out to be false have something more behind them. Two false claims years apart isn't unrealistic, but anymore after this third and it should be obvious that someone is doing this to harass you.

I called the caseworker back and left a message so we'll see what it is this time. I'm sure he's reporting anonymously because he knows false CPS reports will smurf him. Though i'm not sure he really cares.

IF they were literally just out there then they won't. BD just tried to pull this smurf on me since CPS is helping me with my bills and stuff. He tried calling them 2 days after they came out. Yea guess what my case worker called and said kids are still alive right? I said yeap...Cylus is still going to school right? Yeap. She said okay.

I would seriously ask what more do they want you to do about this. They may suggest an attorney. This is ridiculous tbh.
