Quoting Just Ames:" How did a 3rd degree laceration go to your bladder? My Son tore me up inside and out and fractured ... [snip!] ... out and fractured my tail bone but I'm going natural this time around too. In fact, my Dr hasn't even declined me doing so..."
Quoting Ole' No Name:" Just because your first baby was big doesn't mean this one will be. My Mom had me 6lbs, my sister 6lbs, and my giant brother 10 lbs."Cylus was almost 8 lbs and A turned out at 7lbs 1 oz and just slid out. Literally just slid.
Quoting Kristin Lee123:" She came out 9 Pounds 11 Ounces, I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead with this baby and will be getting a size ... [snip!] ... which probably contributed to her size at the time, I'm not opposed to being induced I just really don't want to tear again."How did they have you deliver her? Like position wise?
Quoting Kristin Lee123:" She came out 9 Pounds 11 Ounces, I'm measuring 3 weeks ahead with this baby and will be getting a size ... [snip!] ... which probably contributed to her size at the time, I'm not opposed to being induced I just really don't want to tear again."An episiotomy is worse in terms of naturally tearing because it is a deeper "superficial" cut. However, sometimes having one does help get the baby out better. It's all up to the Dr and the circumstance during delivery.
Quoting Kristin Lee123:" I was just in a hospital bed, they gave me an epidural after 24 hours of excruciating pitocin contractions. ... [snip!] ... had my knees to my chest. Being in that position honestly felt like the pushing didn't do much, are there better alternatives??"There are a ton actually. That position is the worst position to give birth in. I am sure that is why I tore during my VBAC. I went 28 hours natural but got to 10cm and couldn't get rid of my cervical lip. I was in transition for HOURS. Honestly check out the business of being born, they explain it pretty well in that movie why its a bad position. If you have netflix its on there. The only reason dr's have you do it that way is from epidurals, and its better for dr.
Quoting TantricLemons:" There are a ton actually. That position is the worst position to give birth in. I am sure that is why ... [snip!] ... was also induced with my first and got an epi, but was able to go natural for 28 hours for my VBAC and it was honestly amazing."dude I'm so glad my doctor wasn't a sterotypical OBGYN. She made it where I wasn't even like supported by the damn bed lol She said welp let gravity do its thing before we have you start pushing.
