custody/child support.

I have a custody and support agreement in place. It states my BD comes to see my daughter at my house while I'm present, or at his dad's while I'm present. Wednesday and Sunday for 3 hours. There are a lot more little things to it like he cannot transport our daughter. And he pays $220 a month.

Anyways on Thursday he said he was going away for a little bit and wouldn't be able to pay. He wouldn't tell me where he was going, and his family won't give me any info either. Needless to say, I haven't heard from him since Thursday. I have reason to believe he is in rehab for heroin. So what are my choices, what do I need to do here?

What are you looking to do? Get child support while he's in rehab?

what are you wanting to do? i'd say do nothing. i mean he only sees her 6 hours a week and you're present. so i don't really see any reason to be concerned.

Well I'm not too worried with the money. Since he has had no contact and I don't know where he is, isn't that considered abandonment after a certain time period?

Here, abandonment is considered 6 months

Well, as long as child support is written up he has to pay it. If he is, indeed, in rehab I believe once he is out and in a job once again he will have to pay back child support.

The support comes straight out of his check and onto a card I have.
