First birthday, no DH?

Mya's first birthday is Thursday. DH doesn't know if he'll be able to make it home or not. I haven't seen him in over a week.. and the thought of having to go through her birthday on my own is seriously stressing me out. I want to get a cake. Or balloons. DD does, too.. but gah. I don't know how I'm going to get through this day if I have to do it on my own.  


ETA: This is our second daughter's birthday. She was stillborn last October. Hence the S&L..

You could always just bake cupcakes or something with your LO and have a more "traditional" bday once your Dh is home?! I wouldn't think your LO would know any different! Lol

Is he scheduled to work? I'm sorry momma, can't imagine having to go through it alone.

you can do it! Instead of going a getting a cake make one and let her help, then take you with her and get a bunch of balloons. Honestly she would probably have more fun with the balloons if you blew a bunch up and just put the on the floor.

He's out of town. A little over 6hrs away. They've been doing 2 weeks away, coming home for a weekend, and doing another 2 weeks away. But her birthday falls on a Thursday and he doesn't know if he'll be able to get here in time, since they only drive company trucks up there together.   I won't know for sure until Wednesday night, probably.

I would say to make a cake with your daughter. I think that would be fun to do together and keep you a little busy. <3

Oh my gosh mama I'm so sorry   ! I would just take it day by day until you know for sure... If he's not going to make it you can deal with it then, don't stress too much until then (easier said than done I know!). Maybe start a new tradition with your LO and go to a park and let off a balloon or something special between you two to keep your mind off DH being gone  . *hugs*
