3 1/2 weeks left.

I have 3 1/2 weeks left till I feel comfortable having this guy. I am so glad that I finally hit the overwhelming tired part of end of pregnancy. It will make bedrest easier. I can feel the contractions getting stronger and longer through my meds but in all honesty they should be. I just hope they aren't strong enough to make him come out before the 10th. I just pray we don't have to use the hospital. If he makes it to 38 weeks we are good to have him at home as planned. I just don't want to risk it. But omg I swear this is no room left in me for this guy. He has been at 0 station for a week now and I can feel him pushing himself down further.   But he has already passed my last son's delivery week (33 1/2), But my second was 37 and my first was 38. Fingers crossed he makes it. I am confident he will be fine I had the steroid shot to help him in case he was early. I am in shock though it is ALMOST done. Time has been flying......anyone else think that?

I am sure you will. I had the same problem with my first. I started contracting so much they put me in te hospital 10 diffrent times. My second and third were good and now with this one I have been on part. bed rest got my shots and made it to 36 weeks and my doctor said that everything looks good to have him and now he's not really wanting to come out. I did care all of mine to 37 1/2 or 38 weeks. Just stay calm and talk to him. (it helps) Praying you make it.

Thanks, prayers are always helpful. If it was my kids choice he woud already be out. My youngest is "dying" as he says, to get him out. ;) I always tell him when he comes he will be dying to get rid of him. But he is confident he wants to share a room and everything. Which they won't everyone has their own room. just nervous. But now that I have gone further then my 3rd and done things to help him I feel better. I hate to see another one in the nicu again even if it is only for a few hours.

I am in the same boat your in, I have a feeling though my little guy is not going to stay in for another three weeks though, I am trying and I have been on bed rest for two weeks so far, But this being my fifth baby and I have had all of mine early (first was 34 weeks second 35, third 34, fourth 36) so now I am at 33 almost 34 I am starting panic mode, My guess is I will have this little guy with in the next two weeks, I can already feel my cervix changing, I know that sounds weird but I can, He has been head down and low low low for about six weeks already, I am going crazy being on bed rest with seven kids in the house! I have been cleaning and 'nesting' a little but I have this overwhelming urge to go nuts on my house and start packing bags!! good luck to you and I hope everything goes smooth for you and you get your home birth!

OMG you feel it too?! I always tell my midwife I am dilating and things and I am always right, I can feel it. This is my 5th pregnancy I know what's going on in there. Plus I am studying to be a midwife so I really try and tune into my body. I don't think he will make it. But then again it isn't that far away. I am losing my plug more and more, there is more pressure, and even with my meds the contractions are breaking through. Before it was here and there now EVERYDAY. UGH I just pray he is ready. I don't know what else I can do. I am on bed rest everyday except when I have my kids, then I try and be on the couch to play with them. All three are from a previous marriage. I found out this pregnancy I have thyroid issues and it put me in preterm labor almost 2 months ago!

I lost my mucus plug a little over three weeks ago, I keep having small amount come out too, but not so much lately, I am hoping that means its growing back and I wont loose it again till its time, I live over an hour from any hospitals and labor very quickly (too scared to do a home birth :/ ) loosing the mucus plug or bloody show is a welcome indicator its time to go to the hospital

Same for me. I had all my kids in minutes, and I lost my plug and they came soon after. But I haven't had the bloody show, which when I do that is it. So I know it is close but not tomorrow. My ex was never on board with home birth but my new husband is so thrilled. I showed him hospital births and home births right away he said home. I taught him what I knew and we had a few classes on things, did some research to see how we wanted to do things and made a plan. He is more than excited to deliver our son. To me I don't see I would make it to a hospital we live 50 minutes away ( I was never in labor longer than 30) and my husband works 20-30 minutes away depending on traffic. So we already concluded we were screwed so we planned to be ready but over time decided on a home birth so we don't risk even trying to drive.

Oh yeah the drive scares the crap out of me, I definitely do not want to have my baby in the car!, but I am sooo scared of delivering at home, I have full confidence in my self that I could do it and everything would be fine, but there is always that lingering feeling what if its not? My husband would probably be thrilled to be having a home birth, this will be his seventh child he has seen born, he keeps saying he thinks he could be an OB Dr...I lovingly roll my eyes at him, but I bet if it came down to it he would be wonderful...but not my first choice, Having my babies early always scares me but they have all been healthy none even having had jaundice...I consider us lucky, but I dont want to assume its going to be fine and have something horrible happen...I worry A LOT! lol

Yeah my second was a NICU baby too. he was 232 inch long and would not stay fetal so she induced me at 37 1/2 weeks because she was worried and he was 6pds 7 oz but his lungs were not where they should have been. But I hear that all the time. that little boys can come at 39 or 40 weeks and still have to be put in NICU.

I worry too. I freaked my midwife out. We were talking about my meds to stop labor and usually they won't let you take meds after 35week they let you go. So since I brought it up she said to 36, I was like no, my body, my baby, my choice and I am choosing to have it to 38 weeks. Just to be safe.

your baby might make that choice for you   This is my 6th baby and i feel the cervical changes already also. (best i can describe is a pinching/twingy pain in the cervics) My 1st came at 39wks, 2nd ,3rd, & 4th @ 37wks and 5th @38wks.

LOL yeah he might just push his way out, seems to be that's what he wants.   Stubborn little guy. I doubt we will make it to 38 weeks but one can pray.
