for mamas who have birthed before

if you went into labor naturally, when did you deliver w your first vs second, third, ect?

i know, everyone is differnt, but jw what everyone has expeinced.

Went into labor and had my first 7 hours later at 38 weeks 6 days pregnant. With number two, I went into labor at 37 weeks on the dot and had him around 9 hours later.

nice! im a little jealous not gonna lie! hoping to have a labor like that this go round, come on its own, stay for 12 or less hours, and then baby! im very nerves about this labor since my first was so bad, but ppl keep telling me the 2nd is better.

My second was MUCH easier. With #1, I pushed for 3 hours and ended up with an episiotomy. With my 2nd, I pushed twice and he was out. I only tore a tiny bit, not even enough to be classified as stage 1

awww that makes me smile! my first was an induction that lasted 5 days, including 4 hours of pushing and a stage 2 tear. so hoping to not be in the hosp for a week this go round. and hoping to go into labor on my own this time!! although, i have high bp, and gestational dibetes, so i know they wont let me go past 39 weeks, so i hope my body is ready a few days before then to avoid an induction

No idea if it helped, but I took evening primrose oil to help soften my cervix. Also walked TONS so the pressure from the baby would help

what is primrose oil and what did u do w it? like drink it?

It's a pill. You start at around 35 weeks taking it orally, then around 36-37 weeks start taking it orally and vaginally. (You just stick it up there as far as you can lol)

It's supposed to help soften your cervix

really?? t his is super interesting to me. my cervix was not favorable, this is the reason my induction lasted 5 days, nothing was helping me dilate, it was awful! im gonna look into this! where do you get it at?

I got mine at Wal-Greens but I think they sell it at Wal-Mart as well as local grocery stores. Look in the vitamin isle

I went into labor naturally with my first at 36 + 1. Had him after only 1 hr 46 minutes of labor at 36 +2. (Labor started at 11;45 pm, delivered at 1:31 am.

With my daughter I was technically induced but I was 5 cm and contracting every two minutes so I was in active labor. Just not able to feel the contractions and they wanted to make sure I delivered at the hospital. Labor technically started at 36 + 2. I was kept off my feet overnight to get antibiotics.

Water was broken at 2:10 pm the next day (supposed to be early in the morning but L & D was super busy). Baby was delivered at 2:46!! 36 + 2.

I went into labor naturally with my first at 42 weeks and after 10 1/2 hours of labor had my daughter naturally at 42 weeks 1 day almost 2 hours of pushing.
I went into labor at 41 weeks 2 days with my second and had her naturally after 4 hours of labor and three pushes at 42 weeks 3 days.
I went into labor with my third at 36 weeks 4 days ( water started to leak) and had my son after 29 hours of labor and 5 minutes of pushing at 36 weeks 5 days.
