You are definitely not alone. There's almost 5 years difference between me and my husband and we have sex about once a week, if I'm lucky. I crave sex like it was water, or food and he is just like 'ehh.. I don't feel it today, maybe tomorrow.' But tomorrow never comes.   I just have to keep reminding myself that our relationship isn't about sex, and I can make it. lol.

In all honesty, SO and I have more than a 9 year age difference, I don't think it boils down to that .. I think it's a personality trait, and a physiological one.. some people just -need- sex to function.

I GET IT.
I am such a bitch without it. But I have to bottle it up because otherwise he bugs me to talk about what's wrong, we talk about it, and he tells me that we'll do more when blahblahblah... first it was after my tubes were tied, then after the boys are on a schedule/sleeping longer, now he's just tired. Meh.  
It's absolutely how I deal with things, it's how I de-stress and center and feel more secure in the relationship... Plus I have an extremely hard time getting off by myself, so when he doesn't want it, I'm just orgasm-less.  
I'm damn sick of this 2-3 times a month crap. I need it at least every few days.

One thing i can look forward to is he gets some time off at Christmas, so a couple weeks of not having to wake up at 4:30am & being more awake at night..Merry Christmas to me  

SO has always been that way, whether he was working or not... And it's funny because BD would want sex all the time, and it got to the point where I was disgusted with him. With SO he doesn't pressure me at all so I want it all the time, and he's okay with 2-4 times a month! It's so foreign to me, that a guy is like that lol. Pretty much over time, my sex drive has gone down as well.

hmmm... maybe that is part of the reason i want it more too. DH doesnt ever pressure me to do anything, like ever. I dont react well to pressure, I imagine it would make me very resentful against him. but, then again when i dont get laid enough i get resentful of him too. haha! gosh, i just cant win! i need a good middle ground!

I am just like you! My SO is 29 and I am 24. Not a huge difference but he just doesn't have the sex drive I do. I want sex every night with maybe a one night break a week. MAYBE. I think my biggest frustration is that it means I am always initiating and I would enjoy it if he initiated sometimes.
