scared for my baby and i

ok about a month ago i had extream pain in my back went into the hospital found out the next morning that the baby is measuring large and she has basically squished the tube running to my kidney making my kidney swell and not work.... they have put my on a no salt and no caffine diet and might possibly have to have surgrey after the baby is born.... Has anyone heard of this before.. i was dumb founded when they told me.
