She lives with my mom, now.

We live on the 2nd floor in an apartment with no elevator  

I had a c-section, and SO was at work, so it was very hard to be able to walk her 3x a day and be a new mother to a newborn. She started to get a bit down after being the absolute center of attention for 8 years, so I had to give her to my mother so that she could be happy and properly taken care of while I was healing and adjusting.

It broke my heart   But she's always loved my mom, and now she spends every day in a big yard with her two "sisters" (two fat ass Corgis that she bosses around).

I'm hoping one day we could get her back, but now my mom's gotten very attached    

He's going to be Rory, and he's going to throw eggs at annoying kids that knock even with a sign that says "No trick or treaters please".

Ours are automated on our building. Besides the started at 3pm last year   if I could shut them off I would.

Hah you know me so well. I've contemplated it. I just sit inside and roll my eyes until they give up after 10 minutes of beating on my door and screaming demands for me to open the door and give them candy. No joke last year it was over 5 minutes of one group beating on my door and they would NOT go away.

I did but at 3pm they aren't tired yet and are persistent.

Mine is 9. She's going as a Pirate Queen. None of that frilly "piwate pwincess" stuff either! A scrappy-looking, sword-slingin', serious pirate costume.
