Scared to drive

I'm freaking out! In just a few days I will take the test for my learners license and it's hitting me now. The test will be the easy part, I am just scared to go on the road for the first time. How did you ladies learn? Where did you start practicing? TBH I am more scared because I freak out over stupid crap, I scream and jump for any little things. The other day my brother was driving home and I was in the passenger's seat, a raccoon came out of nowhere! For some reason I saw the car rolling over and us all dying, I screamed and held on for my life over a freak'n raccoon! I think of driving and something coming out of nowhere like that and I just imagine myself breaking and cause an accident

not gonna lie, a little glad we are a few states apart! haha, i kid i kid! driving is very scary and much better to acknoweldge how serious it is, vs being someone super confident w no experince, like lots of new drivers. ive been driving for over a decade and still, my heart races at times, esp now with texting, gotta reallllly pay attention to other ppl bc its highly likely that they arnt watching at all! (got hit in jan by a texter.) when i first started driving though, i just practiced. started in parking lots, and then moved up to low traffic areas, then eventully high traffic areas. pay lots of attention and take it slow, youll do great im sure.

i practiced on back roads, where no one drove. and when it came test time, they took me through one red light, and through a subdivision, where there weren't any other cars. but idk how it'll be where you live.. mine was easy, took 10 mins to do it. the only thing i remember, was signal for everything! even in the parking lot!

Well I've got horrible anxiety so half the time I'm scared to be in the car period, even though I don't have a license. I still drive occasionally, mostly when we're up north visiting my grandparents but I would never drive in the dark, on a freeway or in bad weather. Also don't think I would pass a driving test because I'm too nervous

I am scared to drive as well, but I have kinda forced myself to because of my daughter. I would start out in an empty parking lot so you get the feel for a car, once you become a bit more comfortable with the handling of the car and what not then I would take short trips on the road. Now the highway scares the smurf out of me lol. The merging HOLY Smurf I HATE IT! I have driven for awhile but every time I go to take my drivers test, I get super nervous and make stupid mistakes I never do any other time.   Sucks.

LOL I actually drove (2 min) in a parking lot a few months ago, I was going super slow, I was terrified! Plus it was a brand new BMW, I don't why that guy would let me drive his car lol. I think that I will do good eventually but I'm still scared...all the practice cars that I will be driving are either an Escalade or BMW, which freaks me out even more lol

I'm getting my license in nyc, the traffic is horrible there! And the highways are worse! I don't even know how I'll do it, I would take a shot before so but you know where that can lead   

I thought I got my liscence late! I was 17 and learned at drivers Ed by myself. They had a car infront of us with the instructor and about 25 rental cars for us to drive the course- a follow the leader sort of game

I lived in NY, there is not need for a car so I avoided it as long as I could lol

Ahh yea, people here in California drive crazy as hell so yea it is scary as well.

What's funny is I could never imagine not having a vehicle! Especially with kids
