By any chance do you know the name of the fan?

Quoting Lianna's Momma:" My DD crib is in me and DH room. Everytime we move on the bed DD wakes up (goes back to sleep on her ... [snip!] ... to sleep on her own most of the time) or even when the slightest noise is made. How do you other mama's not wake your LO up?"

Mine has been such a hard sleeper since the day she was born. Shes two now and I could go jump on the bed and she would stay sleeping lol. But definitely try a fan, and make sure it's on at bedtime so we you do get up in the middle of the night she will be used to hearing sound.

Its great. I use the "ocean" or "rain" setting. It even makes me sleep better! It has a projector thing on it too. I love it.

Quoting Lianna's Momma:" We do the same but the volume isn't up loud."

Yea mine has to be at a normal volume. Only way I can sleep lol. I've dropped stuff next to him. Banged pots and pans around while cooking and vacuum next to him and he doesn't even flinch. He's 2 months old.

Quoting Lianna's Momma:" Yea, I have heard to do that from day one and I thought I was but now that I look back, we do tip toe around her a lot. I hope it's not to late to fix this."

I'm sure it's not too late yet. But definitely start now while she's young. My mom's cousin was the first baby born on that side of the family and they tip toed around her from day one, even pushing the car out of the driveway before starting it up, and now 60-70 years later, she wakes up at the drop of a pin.

this

and we have a fan and a/c going so they don't really seem bothered by out noises. DH snores like a hog all night and never manages to wake them

though i'm pregnant with our first.... i had this same question. my mom told me that she used to go about normal and talk in a normal voice. that's why you see kids at football games fast asleep. they're used to the noise so not every sound will wake them.
