Stomache pains?

The last month.. I've had this on-going issue where my stomache will just tense up, and it makes me feel really nauseous but I never physically throw up. It's not really a cramp, feels more like a really intense hunger pain. It's hard to explain. :/ but its random. And I'll go to lay down and it hurts so bad I can't fall asleep I keep my hand on my stomache and want to stay still until it stops. I'm not sure what its from or could be.. Anyone else had this problem? I've heard it can be nerves or stressing but I don't think I'm either.
