I love Greyson, but my hubby hates it. I know there is no changing it, we have been set on it since march. I tried asking him yesterday If we had backups incase he doesn't look like a Hayden, and he thought that was crazy.

I'm sorry, but the decision to name your child should be made by BOTH parents. If you're unhappy with it, you both should agree on something else.

eta: Also, if you think the names together sound silly now, wait until you have to use them constantly out loud, in public, etc.

Tell him to say both their names over and over again.... together. Ask him if he doesn't see the similarities?

My SO loved the names Hayden, Aiden and Brayden until I showed him how popular they all are and told him our kid would have a name that rhymed with half the kids his age. He changed his mind quick because he hated being one of a TON of Kyles growing up.

Thing is , you say your kids names together all.the.time.
Everyone will refer to them as Payton and Hayden. Carpool line, they will call them Payton and Hayden Lastname etc..

I do love his name though. I will get used to it.

I was just hoping I was the only one who thought it rhymed weird.

But my name is jami and my sisters is Kali, and they are both kind of similar too, and I never thought they sounded wierd together. But maybe those aren't even in the same boat.

I think Jami and Kali are fine together.
