Why do EITHER of you have to talk to members of the opposite sex?

DH would never talk to some random girl. On Facebook, texts, or in person. And I wouldn't be talking to some guy that I have a past with, either.

You are both wrong and sound very childish

You are justifying your actions by doing something the you don't like that HE is doing......

Two wrongs don't make a right.

My fiance doesn't have a FB, but if he were to talk to some strange woman on the bus (he'll make conversation with anyone), and she later sent him a friend request... He'd deny that smurf. I don't think he should be messaging some random girl on FB (if they were friends or something, it'd be different), but I don't think you should be texting some guy you have a history with either.

Your friend being in another state means absolutely nothing. If you felt wronged by your DH talking to a woman, you talking to a man just to get back at him is wrong as well.

I don't think either one of you need to tell the other when you talk to someone of the opposite sex, but that's JMO. It just seems dumb to me.

He can handle having women friends. YOU can't handle him having women friends. Don't get mad at him for doing something and then do the same thing in return.

The point is NEITHER of you should be seeking out members of the opposite sex to speak to. He shouldn't be talking to this woman and you shouldn't be talking to this man. That really isn't how marriage works. If you have to go to members of the opposite sex that aren't your spouse, why are you married?

I don't think he really did anything wrong, or at least there's no proof he did. But why the smurf he cares who you text is weird? I don't know, clearly you guys don't trust each other. It's sketchy that you both care so much about texting the other person. If it's making your spouse upset stop. But why the hell do you both get upset about texting?

I don't understand the big deal about either of you talking to people of the opposite sex.
But you put, "he was talking to a girl and didn't even tell me," so I'm assuming you snooped his stuff or whatever to find out which means you don't trust him at all apparently.   You all have some definite relationship problems.

Just because this other guy lives in another state doesn't mean you can't have an emotional affair. IMHO I don't think you should be talking to any man that you have a history with until you guys both work out your trust issues.
