what is your feeding schedule like for your 8/5.5 month old?
This is Cadence's it just changed this week
between 8:00 & 8:30a - 7oz bottle and 2 oz baby food

2:00p- 7oz bottle and 2 oz baby food
8:00p- 7oz bottle

Mine never went that long between sippy cups of milk.

when she came home from the nicu it was every 4 hrs and thats how she's been until the past few days. she was having 6oz 4x a day now 7oz 3x a day.

Sounds easy!! When the boys came home, with was a few mL every hour & a half!! I was so glad when they started spacing it out more. We always did a cup of formula, then wait on food, we never did them at the same time. We still don't, actually. They have meals, and milk in between.

i didnt know what to do. so i do bottle and then about 30 mins later give her food. just compared to others seems like she's not eating enough.

So is she 8 months or 5.5?

At both 8 & 5.5 months the boys would eat between 24 & 32 oz of formula a day... It was 6 4 oz cups, until they worked their way up to 4 8oz cups.

Breakfast: 8 oz cup

Lunch: 8 oz cup

Dinner: 8 oz cup

1 hour before bed: 8 oz cup

But we did BLW, so they ate meals just as we did. I'd give formula about an hour to 45 minutes before a meal. Then the last cup 1 hour before bedtime.

she's 8 months actual and 5.5 months adjusted

honestly, we've never gone by adjusted age.. They were born at 33 weeks, I think yours would be earlier.

ya 30 weeks. i do cuz she was in nicu for a month and she's just got to where she's rolling over good and all

It's definitely slow going with preemies... These won't even stand unassisted yet!

the hardest thing is seeing others not preemies the same age doing things yours isnt. there's this lil girl 1 month younger than Cadence and she's already crawling and sits really good

I don't know any other preemies IRL, but I have friends who had kids 3 & 4 months after I had the boys, and they're running already! Gets on my nerves.

i know a few other preemies but they are much older.
