Need Advice

Hi everyone, Im not really ashamed to discuss thijuss need some advice. My baby Father mother wants to fight me for sole custody. 1st i have a roof over my head and so does my son. He is well taken care of ahe is only 2 months.I will do anything for my baby. is it possible that shwill get sole custody cause i can't lose my baboy he is all i have. Ithought she have to prove im unfit to do that t im not cause i take carof my sin with all my might If it te evry breath in my bodyi will do it for him. Input Please

Why is she fighting for sole custody? What right does she think she has? As long as your baby is cared for, and your son's father's mother doesn't have any legitimate dirt on you, then I wouldn't worry.

well she es have a criminal record...never thought about that

in any case she has to be able to prove you are an unfit mother.. things which may consider you an unfit mother is
drugs
alcoholism
child neglect
child abuse etc

if this doesnt apply to you than she has nothing. in almost all states, proving someone is an unfit parent is more difficult than anything you can think of

With criminal back ground if you have had a conviction with a violent offense..you can lose to get shared parenting if its recent and sometimes moved to only visition while supervised. Happened to my cousin. If its within the past two yrs u can lose complete. BUT if your bd mother..so if you got anu dish on her it would fall through and not matter her case would fall

If you are adaquetly*sp providing for him, he isn't being abused or neglected then I think the posibility of her getting any kind of custody is slim to none.
