Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" That's very interesting. It does have some resemblance to other stories I have heard about Heaven. "
Quoting bbbt:" Really? Like what? "
Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" Every story I have ever heard about people going to Heaven, they always say there is calm on one side ... [snip!] ... not wanting to come back to Earth. Perhaps everyone is different. I cant say I have read everyone's experience with Heaven. "
Quoting bbbt:" That's interesting. Maybe I should look into it more. "
Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" There is a good book called 90 Minutes in Heaven. This guy passed away in a vehicle accident. He had ... [snip!] ... another one called 13 Minutes in Hell. It's another true life experience. Some kid also wrote one, but I forget it's title."Lol that rag? It's called "Heaven is for Real." It's the story a little kid was told by his parents who made out like bank robbers because they got him to recite it on command and pose for the book cover.
Quoting Back to Noob Status:" As much as I would like to think in an afterlife, I just don't think there is. And that is comforting in a twisted way to see death as a dreamless sleep where you never wake up again."
Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" My opinion..... It's better to believe in God and Heaven, you die, and they dont exist rather than not believe, you die, and find out hell is real."God does not have the insecurity complex that organized religions teach about. God is unconditional love without needs and that love is for all believers and non believers.
Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" There is a good book called 90 Minutes in Heaven. This guy passed away in a vehicle accident. He had ... [snip!] ... another one called 13 Minutes in Hell. It's another true life experience. Some kid also wrote one, but I forget it's title."I read 23 Minutes In Hell and thought it to be a terrible book. It seems like a ripoff to Mary Baxter's Divine Revelation Of Hell. I believe we create our own realities and that hell is self or collectively created by us. The version of God I believe in never created anything that was meant to harm or destroy souls. Also both books make it pretty clear that only Christians will escape Hell which is why I call them works of fiction.
Quoting C&K:" I agree. I am comforted by the thought of there being nothing after this life. I don't know what I believe happens after we die, though."
Quoting MommyingWithGrace:" when I was a kid, before I knew what ghost were...I saw my bedroom door open and close with no one there ... [snip!] ... not. I dont wish that on my worst enemy to ever have an encounter with a spirit. It spooks you out for the rest of your life."
