Every story I have ever heard about people going to Heaven, they always say there is calm on one side and fire on the other. They are usually afraid of the fire (as you obviously were). The only thing different was that those people remember not wanting to come back to Earth. Perhaps everyone is different. I cant say I have read everyone's experience with Heaven.

That's interesting. Maybe I should look into it more.

There is a good book called 90 Minutes in Heaven. This guy passed away in a vehicle accident. He had been dead for hours while waiting for the Jaws of Life to get him out of the car. Long story short...he came back to life and describes his experience with Heaven and what life on Earth was life after that.

There is another one called 13 Minutes in Hell. It's another true life experience.

Some kid also wrote one, but I forget it's title.

Lol that rag? It's called "Heaven is for Real." It's the story a little kid was told by his parents who made out like bank robbers because they got him to recite it on command and pose for the book cover.

I believe it. Not like the surgeon needed the money or anything.

As much as I would like to think in an afterlife, I just don't think there is. And that is comforting in a twisted way to see death as a dreamless sleep where you never wake up again.

I agree. I am comforted by the thought of there being nothing after this life. I don't know what I believe happens after we die, though.

God does not have the insecurity complex that organized religions teach about. God is unconditional love without needs and that love is for all believers and non believers.

I read 23 Minutes In Hell and thought it to be a terrible book. It seems like a ripoff to Mary Baxter's Divine Revelation Of Hell. I believe we create our own realities and that hell is self or collectively created by us. The version of God I believe in never created anything that was meant to harm or destroy souls. Also both books make it pretty clear that only Christians will escape Hell which is why I call them works of fiction.

when I was a kid, before I knew what ghost were...I saw my bedroom door open and close with no one there to open and close it. (sadly, I am not the only one to witness it. An old childhood friend whom I havent spoken to since we were in middle school told me recently that she saw it too). One night I saw my grandmother (who killed herself in the hosue I was living in) standing at the foot of my bed. Those are my personal experiences that still haunt me to this day. I get very nervous about moving into new houses and I am 28 yrs old. Simply because I dont know what lurks in that house. Again...those are things I experienced and unless you have seen life does go on after death (just in a different form)....you will never believe it. Which is understandable because it sounds crazy. Even to me. I hear people talk about it and I want to think they are nuts, but I know they are not. I dont wish that on my worst enemy to ever have an encounter with a spirit. It spooks you out for the rest of your life.

It's things like that, and other things like precognition, that make me doubt that there isn't more than what science knows out there.

Nope, no such thing as heaven or god.

How do I know? There is a voice that identified itself as God to me, I am not going to do what it says.
