re: DR says Heaven is real

I have one friend who is atheist and he lives a joyful life. We should never assume that people who don't live sad lives. On top of that I think atheists are able to live more joyfully in some cases because they are not weighed down by the concept that they are sinning if they are having fun.

I think the mind is pretty amazing. I don't know if he saw heaven or not but I have had premonitions before and I don't think that science would be able to explain those. I think he could've had those thoughts at some point that he did have brain activity.

I don't know about people seeing heaven. I just don't understand how some people could see heaven and return and others enter it. What makes God decide to let them back to Earth and not the other people that he takes?

This, to an extent. I'm not going to sit here and say I've had a less restricted or more joyful life because of my beliefs or lack thereof. Christians (since this is pretty much the topic of discussion) live and lead very full and happy lives as long as they don't allow themselves to be absolutely tied down to the idea of sin. They have joy, fun and all of the above in their own way.

Eh I don't really believe it. He was probably just in a hightened dream state or something.. he wasn't dead soo... yeah. Maybe if he didn't write a book and try to make tons of cash off of it I would believe it more.

Well... it's not like I don't do what I want because someone will judge me. It's not like I live my life walking on eggshells because I'm worried about what kind of judgement will be passed..

I'm a good person at heart & have never had the craving to do anything other than the right thing.

And I am agnostic and live a perfectly happy life.

Yeah..of course he had to write a book to profit off his "amazing experience".
Obviously full of smurf. No one can say that heaven exists FOR SURE because no one knows. I don't believe it does and I think I'm right, but I can't 100% say I am right. I mean, there may be a wonderful place that we go to in the afterlife...there may also be a Santa Claus.

My opinion.....

It's better to believe in God and Heaven, you die, and they dont exist rather than not believe, you die, and find out hell is real.

Eh, there's a 50/50 chance. If there is a hell, I'm sure it will be a family reunion.
