Quoting Punk Rock Princess {EBFT}:" Especially the dark under the eyes. Corbin has always had that.."I think that has to do with all the allergies and intolerance's or even the nutritional deficiencies they tend to have. Some have it worse because their internal issues are worse.

Quoting Punk Rock Princess {EBFT}:" I think C has a gluten intolerance. He doesn't have an "allergy" but he has a distended belly, mushy poo, behavior issues, the eyes, etc. Seems likely."
Quoting 3LittleMonkeys:" Have you tried eliminating the gluten? I know one boy who was severly allergic to gluten and many other ... [snip!] ... amazingly. It's not always going to work like that but it just amazes me that such things can hinder a child from learning. "
Quoting Punk Rock Princess {EBFT}:" We have tried but it was way hard. Sigh. I should try again."I couldn't imagine how hard that would be. They were in a point with their son that they were willing and going to try anything. How severe is your son? This boy is pretty severe. He has little to no speech.

Quoting Punk Rock Princess {EBFT}:" In some areas he's high functioning and in most he's moderate. His speech is getting much better but his receptive speech is really delayed."Idk, you never know what will happen unless you try. It might not make any difference with him. I hope you guys find what works for him. Parents of children on the spectrum have my respect and support always.
Quoting 3LittleMonkeys:" he is adorable!"

Quoting mama3trish:" "Holy crap that is the first pic I've ever sent myself-he he. Anyways this is Brady and he is 4 with moderate-severe autism. I'm going to see if his therapists notice anything simular when they come Monday.
Quoting Mrs.Rachael +2:" I want to try gluten free with my son but his feeding issues are one of his more severe issues, I'm afraid ... [snip!] ... to make it worse by changing much and I don't think he will respond well getting him to eat anything is such a challenge."We have the same issue. If I could get him to eat a cracker, or anything except white soft bread then we could have a chance, but he seriously only at toaster streudels for 3 months and when I refused to buy more he wouldn't eat for a few days until he lost weight and I caved. However when Brady was younger he didn't eat much 'gluten' foods anyways and I hadn't noticed an increase or decrease in behavior either way.
