So we've decided to cloth diaper, after a little coaxing DH has come to the baby-wearing,breast-feeding,cloth-diapering wonderland with me LOL.... we'll the thing is...I'm not sure where the hell to start! I've read all the posts here and decided that I really need something that can give me a start and allow me time to figure stuff out on my own.

With a little help I've narrowed down the possibilities to two separate bundles.

We were going to purchase the cloth inserts as well and only use the disposable inserts if we are out and about and for when family takes the jellybean as we are pretty sure there will be some serious backlash over our choice to cloth diaper.
The second is a diapering service. I'd only really want to use it the first month or two until I'd figured out what I liked and didn't like and started to stock pile my own supplies. I've got none of the issue with washing my own diapers so the allure isn't in the cleaning - its in the newborn package which takes a lot of the thinking out of the situation.

I prefer the gDiapers, that way you could get some of your money back when the child grows out of it, and gDiapers worked the best for my youngest as a newborn.

I'd buy one size pockets, and just get some nb prefolds and covers.

WAY cheaper. Lol

Just don't forget cloth wipes, or you'll be fishing disposable wipes out of the washer and drier....LOL

I like fuzzibunz one size elites for day time because they're really trim and fit nice under clothes, they're only a bit bulkier than a disposable...and so far nothing beats Kawaii minkys for overnight for me.  
I hate bundles...mostly because if you buy a bundle and they don't work for you, you're screwed. No 2 babies are alike, nor are they all shaped the same, and they all wet/ defecate differently. I BF and I've never had a bf poo explosion yet. lol.

Hm, I think I'd look in my area for a lot of NB diapers for sale, first. I don't like the gDiapers I've seen in person, but I haven't tried to use them. I'm just getting a few nb covers (hopefully between 4-  and using flats or halves of flats with liners... I think. I might decide that doesn't hold runny nb poop, in which case I'm probably going to be eyeballing those gDiapers lol.

Thirsties cover from experience will keep a BOMB in...ROFL. The leg gussets on those are AMAZING.
