Quoting ~Loving Strong~:" In this day and age alot of masculine and feminine names are becoming "unisexed" its a rising trend."

It's not a very good trend. Just because one mom smacked Micheal on a girl doesn't make it OK nor does it make it a girls name. It's completely disgusting, selfish, cruel and ridiculous.

Quoting ♥Mama Constantine:" My daughter's name is Keigann. (Keegan) I love it. My family has a history of naming girls with boy names. Mikala Brett is my cousin's name. "

no only did you butcher a perfectly strong boys name, you smacked it on your daughter. She's going to grow up hating her name, being called Him and Sir ALL the time. Your family should all be smacked and have naming rights taken away. At least until you can figure out what sex your kids are and what names belong on them.

Quoting Back to Noob Status:" Elodie is lovely."

only if pronounced correctly.

Elodie the stupid american way, looks like Melodie with out the M.

Elozee is how it's pronounced and is the only way it makes it lovely.

It's the name of my french blue motor scooter.

That spelling is terrible...it doesn't even spell what you want it too. and Elliot is a boys name and hyphened names are no good.

Spell it how it sounds makaia or something

Get over it. We knew perfectly well what we were getting into when we named our daughter. Not your baby, not your choice.

Quoting HotMom21ERF:" my sons name is Peyton. i never really realized it is a girls name as well"

It isn't. Some people claim to have named thier girls totally boy names like Jake, Ryan, Elliot, Micheal, Benjamin, even Hunter for god's sake! LOL! I have never seen it in real life though, only online so I am not sure if it is a real trend or just people pretending online for fun. I have seen quite a few boy names show up on top 50 lists for girls though (unfortunately) so some masculine names like Avery and Quinn are becoming "unisex" in usage even though they are masculine in etymology.
