Cramping and back pain...preterm labor?
posted 14th Oct
I am 32 weeks pregnant, and had a checkup two days ago. I was having some back pain and they put me on a monitor. The dr said I ha been having a few contractions so he checked my cervix; I wasn't dilated but he said my cervix was funneling. (idk what that means?) ..... Later that night I went to he hospital to be monitored gain bc of cramps and I was still having contractions according to the monitor, but they checked my cervix and said it hadn't changed. I don't want to keep calling he dr but it's been two days and my back pain is worse and it feels like. I going to start my period ay minute. Ive also had a sore feeling in y belly and nausea.isthis preterm labor or just normal?

Yes, call your doctor Listen to your body. If you feel like you need to be checked, then more than likely, you do. Dont wait too long and deliver your baby early when there are meds to stop contractions.

Its actually Braxton Hicks which is also known as "false labor". I'm going through the same exact thing. "Funneling" actually means your cervix is preparing for birth (shortening) If it continues then your going to be put on bed rest until your baby comes. So far I'm not on bed rest but my doctor says its coming. My son is due on November 29.
