sorry, another vent and a question...

Ok ladies, so first the vent. I want to beat the smurf out of SO ex wife!!! She decided that she would be such a HATER that she went running to his sister in law and brother and convinced them that this is not his child!!! And now his brother has convinced his mom that this is not his child. So they call him with their "helpful" advice that he should get a DNA test. Now I've never met his family. They all live at least 14 hours away and we haven't had time or money to go. So I asked SO if he feels that LO is not his. He said no, he knows LO is his and that I wouldn't cheat on him. So I feel better knowing that he believes in us and knows I wouldn't do anything like that. I also told him that since his mom (I could care less about his brother because even SO doesn't get along with him) said she won't accept the baby saying she doesn't want to get attached to a baby that may not be family that we should just get the stupid DNA test. He said he doesn't want me to feel I have to because heknows and that's all that matters but if we do he's going to frame it and send it as gifts to those who talked mess. Here is the best part. The reason everyone is saying LO isn't his is because it's a boy. Him and his ex only had girls. So according to them he can't produce a boy! So question how much control does the guy have on sex of baby? I'm not worried, I know I haven't cheated on SO but I don't understand how they can say he can't produce a boy.

The sperm is what decides the sex of the baby, but they can't know for certain that your SO cannot produce boys.

The man determines the sex of the baby- 100% BUT if you bring in science and mathemtics jsut because he only had girls with the other doesn't mean he can not conceive a boy. Girls have a higher rate of successfully implanting BUT it doesn't mean it can't be a boy. I got that info from a genetic counselor., They jsut wanna cause drama..i hope it all works out for you!

People are dumb if i were you i would feel like kicking some major ass! just to rub it in their face i would get the DNA tests later on just to show how stupid they were for saying it!

The sperm is what holds the chromosomes to determine the gender of the baby. Honestly, it's stupid to say he can't produce a certain sex since he has only had girls. Many families have a greater number of one gender than the other. They sound ridiculous to me. The same sperm doesn't produce multiple children over and over again therefore, why is it NOT possible for him to make a boy? His family needs educated it sounds like...

Mother can only pass on an X chromosome and the fathers pass on either X (girl) or Y(boy). SO always jokes and tells me if our baby comes out a girl, then I cheated (hes not serious), but his theory is 4 out of 4 are boys so he must only produce boys. Good luck with SO's family, I hope things get better so the baby has a chance to know his G'ma.

The sperm 100% determines the sex of the baby. The male sperm are apparently faster swimmers but die off faster, so if you have sex the day you ovulate and use certain positions it can help you conceive a boy.

that is just crazy. I am preg with my fourth. I have 1 girl and three boys all by the same man. haha I told my husband he didn't want this one to be a girl bad enough.

ok I found this a little amusing! my dad had a horrible motorcycle accident before i was born. the doctors told him whatever the first sex of his first born was is all he will ever have ! now here is the funny part i have three brothers and i am the first born! so see if the docs don't even know what they are talking about i don't think you have to worry about your honeys ex congrats on your boy just ignore everyone and enjoy your new little family!!!!

men control the sex of the baby. dont let that bitch get into your head! You know you didnt cheat, it sounds like he knows you didnt cheat... and frankly thats all that matters! Sure it would be nice if your mother inlaw werent so gullible, but thats her problem and it's a total shame! See all of that is how I feel. I want to do the DNA just to rub it in. I know she is just mad because she wants him back AND she wanted a boy. Even better is she remarried after they divorced and ended up with a girl from that one too! I will say me and SO were making jokes about having a baby and were researching all the old wives tales about how to get a boy. But we know we just got blessed with what we wanted.
